Turning Up the Experience: How Our New JBL System Raises the Bar
Every detail matters in live production, but few make a bigger impact than sound.
It’s the heartbeat of every keynote, the emotion behind every moment, and the difference between a good event and a great one.
That’s why Platinum XP invested in JBL’s cutting-edge SRX 900 Series line array audio system, expanding our inventory with more than 30 new SRX906LA and SRX915SF boxes. It’s the kind of sound you’d expect on a concert tour, now powering the corporate conferences, galas, and large-scale productions we create every day.
Built for Versatility
We handle everything from breakout sessions to full-scale productions, so flexibility matters.
“It’s the perfect fit,” says Giancarlo Rojas, Audio Technician at Platinum XP. “It’s light and compact while still packing a punch. We can rig it, ground stack it, scale it up or down - it adapts to any setting or audience we work with.”
The JBL SRX 900 Series was designed for professionals who need scalability without compromise. Whether it’s an intimate ballroom or a massive convention space, Platinum XP can now tailor the system configuration for perfect coverage, every time.
Smarter Setup, Stronger Sound
This system doesn’t just sound great. It thinks great, too.
“The network connectivity puts the tech in full control,” Rojas explains. “We can monitor, adjust, and diagnose the system in real time. The clarity is unreal - especially in the high-mid range, where diction and speech live. Every presenter sounds spectacular.”
The JBL software allows Platinum XP’s team to visualize the venue before setup even begins - mapping out coverage, speaker placement, and SPL (sound pressure level) to ensure flawless sound from front to back.
“The efficiency of this system gives us more time to perfect the details,” says Evan Sauro, Audio Technician. “It allows us to focus on fine-tuning the mix so every guest experiences the best possible sound.”
Experience You Can Feel
The difference goes far beyond volume. It’s about connection.
“Attendees need to feel the sound, not just hear it,” Sauro explains. “Whether it’s an opening hype video or an emotional keynote moment, audio shapes how people experience the event. This system lets us create that emotional draw without harshness or distortion.”
During recent events, including the SPARK Gala for Ronald McDonald House Charities, Portillo’s and Omaha’s Henry Doorly Zoo, the system proved its value immediately. From tents to ballrooms, it delivered even, immersive sound.
“We were able to adjust individual array boxes mid-show to balance the sound,” Rojas recalls. “That kind of precision just wasn’t possible before.”
Why It Matters
For us, investing in new technology isn’t about chasing trends. It’s about constantly finding ways to create better experiences - for clients, crews, and every guest in the room. Because we know that great events don’t just look incredible, they sound incredible.
